The Captain Francisco - aka Charlie Jones - has spent the last year painting a modern musical masterpiece in kaleidoscopic colours. Through a series of mind bending singles (Daddy Come Home, God Why Don’t You Listen, The Rapture) and with a cast of singers, musicians and studio wizards, he has built a rollercoaster out of sound and vision.

Showbusiness is the result of Charlie entering the studio safe in the knowledge that the entire history of rock’n’roll is up for grabs. As The Captain Francisco, he has created music that is strange and wild and very free. This is pop music cut with the purest stardust, a sun bright burst of sonic love to help you just possibly get higher.

All across Showbusiness, there are familiar echoes relocated into new surroundings. There’s Elvis stood singing In The Ghetto atop quaking sub bass speakers and there’s Daft Punk playing Around The World In A Day on the stereo whilst lost on a West Country A road. There’s pumped up futuristic FM rock and frantic stomping glam rackets and there’s an overture to the universe itself. Basically, there’s everything you want from the last 70 years of music, retooled for the shining future.
